About us

Privacy policyOnly one roofer gets your contact details.

This page explains what happens to your details when you ask for a roofer. Local roofers who cover your area see your job, first name and suburb. Only the roofer who takes your job gets your contact details, nothing is shared until you tick the consent box, and we never sell your details.

Who we are

Find My Roofer is run by Blufire Pty Ltd (ABN 14 665 545 282). It's a referral service that passes homeowners' roofing jobs to licensed roofers. Our address is 2/8 Bromham Place, Richmond VIC 3121, Australia, and our email is info@blufire.com.au.

What we collect

When you ask for a roofer, we collect the details you give us: the job, your roof type, your postcode, your first name, mobile number and email, and what you tell us about the job. With each job we also keep a record of your consent: the wording you agreed to and the time you sent the form. We also collect basic technical information about how the site is used. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use the site, such as where they click and how far they scroll, so we can make it easier to use. Clarity uses cookies and similar technology, and Microsoft collects and uses that data as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Who sees your job, and who gets your contact details

When you send the form, we check your mobile number is real, and we use automated tools to read your message and work out the size of the job.

We show your job, your first name and your suburb to local roofers who cover your area. They don't see your mobile number or email. With your consent, which you give by ticking the box on our form, the first roofer to take the job gets your first name, mobile, email and message so they can contact you about it. If no roofer takes it within 48 hours, roofers elsewhere in your state may see it too, on the same terms.

We don't sell your details, and we don't pass them to anyone for marketing. A few service providers help us run the site, and these are based in the United States: Vercel (hosts the website), Twilio (checks mobile numbers), Microsoft Clarity (site analytics) and Google reCAPTCHA (spam checks on the quote form). Blufire's lead system also uses automated tools to read job descriptions, and some of those are in the United States too.

If you don't give us your details, we can't pass your job to a roofer.

Messages from us

We may text or email you about the job you asked about, such as to confirm a roofer is in touch. We'll only send other messages if you've agreed, and every message tells you how to stop them. You can unsubscribe at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep job details only as long as we need them to run the service and meet our legal obligations, and never longer than seven years. After that we delete or de-identify them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, or ask us to delete them. Email info@blufire.com.au with "Privacy request" in the subject line, and we'll answer a request to see or correct your details within 30 days. Our privacy request page says what to include. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
